Arriving by ferry

The ferries arrive at Souda Bay, the port of Chania, which is some 5km from the town. There are plenty of buses, and if you have come by car or bike it is an easy drive into town, once you have cleared the congestion of the port.

If you take a bus, simply take the one for Chania itself, and ask for the Main Bus Station - most buses terminate there. The fare is very cheap.

You will come into the centre of Chania if you drive straight in from Souda Bay, and will easily pick up the instructions - look out for the great market, the AGORA - on your right, and the town centre and direction you need then lies ahead of you.
